ABOUT ALOHOMORA

Unlocking Potential.
Shaping Futures.

We believe every young person deserves the clarity, confidence and opportunity to imagine a future of their own.

At Alohomora, we work to enable productive and meaningful lives for students studying in Government schools across India, by bringing structured career support into the systems they already know and trust.

OUR STORY

Every young person can imagine more.

OUR PURPOSE Helping young people see what's possible.
OUR STORY

It started with a question.

How do we help young people make sense of their future when they have never been given the opportunity to explore it?

THE BEGINNING

A belief became a mission.

Alohomora began with a simple belief: every young person should have access to the information, exposure and support needed to imagine a future beyond what they already know.

TODAY

A growing movement for career guidance.

Today, Alohomora works with governments and large-scale organisations to bring structured career support to young people across India.

05 / TODAY
AND THIS IS ONLY THE BEGINNING.

What started as a question continues to shape how we think about opportunity, education and the future of India's young people.

THE CHALLENGE

A young person cannot choose a future they cannot see.

For many young people, especially those studying in Government schools, career decisions are shaped by what they know, what they see around them and what they believe is possible.

THE GAP IS NOT JUST INFORMATION

It is about exposure, confidence and access.

01
EXPOSURE

The world of careers can feel much smaller.

When young people have limited exposure to careers, pathways and possibilities, their choices can naturally stay within the boundaries of what they already know.

02
INFORMATION

Information alone is not enough.

Students need more than lists of careers. They need context, guidance and support to understand what a pathway actually means for their own lives.

03
CONTEXT

A decision is never made in isolation.

Family, geography, finances, schooling and access to opportunity all shape the choices a young person feels able to make.

That is why we believe career guidance must begin before a choice has to be made.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

Potential is everywhere. Opportunity isn't.

Our work begins with a simple belief: young people are capable of much more when they have the opportunity to understand themselves, explore possibilities and make informed choices.

OUR POINT OF VIEW
We don't just help young people
choose a career.
We help them imagine one.
01
POTENTIAL

Every young person has potential.

Talent and ambition exist everywhere. What varies is access to information, exposure, encouragement and opportunity.

02
EXPOSURE

What we see shapes what we imagine.

Exposure to people, careers and possibilities can expand the horizons within which young people imagine their futures.

03
CONTEXT

No career decision happens in isolation.

Family, geography, resources, culture and education all influence the choices a young person feels able to make.

04
SCALE

Sustainable change needs strong systems.

Lasting impact comes from embedding career support within the systems, people and institutions already present.

This is why our work sits at the intersection of young people, educators and systems.

OUR APPROACH

Designed for impact. Built for scale.

Our approach combines contextual design with strong systems and partnerships to make career guidance sustainable.

01
EMBEDDED

Work within existing systems.

We work through schools, educators and existing delivery mechanisms rather than building parallel systems.

02
CONTEXTUAL

Designed around real lives.

Our programs respond to the realities, aspirations and opportunities of the young people we work with.

03
STRUCTURED

Career support is a journey.

We build structured experiences that help students move from awareness to informed action.

04
SCALABLE

Built to reach the last mile.

Partnerships enable us to take effective career support to more schools, communities and young people.
